Empowering the Frontline: Under the CureAid Program

Empowering the Frontline Reminder: Under the CureAid Program, Aid Global Foundation’s Grassroots Mission to Eliminate Clubfoot Disability

In the heart of Maharashtra, a powerful transformation is underway. It is not unfolding in a high-tech lab or a corporate boardroom, but in a meeting room filled with 60 committed women—the ASHA frontline workers. As the backbone of rural India’s primary healthcare system, they are now stepping forward as key champions under the CureAid Program to eliminate disability caused by clubfoot.

As a committed organization advancing disability prevention, under the CureAid Program at Aid Global Foundation, we believe that a disability-free future begins with one timely, informed referral. Our recent community outreach meeting in Bhiwandi, Thane Rural district powerfully demonstrates how focused engagement and early intervention can change outcomes and transform lives.

The Power of Local Partnerships

The success of any meaningful social impact initiative depends on its ability to reach even the most remote families. The ASHA frontline workers’ meeting stood as a strong example of effective community mobilization. Guided by program leadership and supported by local stakeholders, the session moved beyond routine training to become a clear call for collective action.

The presence of district-level government representatives reinforced the credibility of the initiative and highlighted the critical importance of government–NGO collaboration. When local administration stands alongside the CureAid Program at Aid Global Foundation, it sends a powerful message: protecting the health and mobility of children is a shared responsibility.

Why Early Identification Is a Game-Changer

Clubfoot is a congenital condition that, if left unaddressed, can result in lifelong physical impairment. Yet, when identified early, it is fully treatable with timely intervention. During the session, the 60 ASHA frontline workers were trained to recognize early signs of clubfoot and understand the importance of acting within the critical treatment window.

Under the CureAid Program at Aid Global Foundation, we promote the Ponseti Method, the globally accepted, non-surgical gold standard for clubfoot treatment. This approach—based on gentle manipulation, corrective casting, and follow-up use of a Foot Abduction Brace (FAB)—enables children to grow up walking, running, and playing with confidence, free from preventable disability.

A Commitment to Excellence and Transparency

Why does your support matter? Under the CureAid Program at Aid Global Foundation, our work focuses on building scalable, high-impact solutions to address clubfoot disability across India. While significant progress has been made in expanding access to treatment, the need remains urgent and widespread.

Our Reach:

The CureAid Program supports interventions across multiple regions in India, strengthening referral pathways and access to care.

Current Impact:

Through partnerships and community-based systems, the program contributes to treatment access for a substantial proportion of children born with clubfoot each year.

Our Vision:

We aim to significantly expand coverage in the coming years, ensuring that many more children receive timely, life-changing care.

To achieve this vision, we uphold a strict commitment to transparency and accountability in the use of funds. Every contribution is carefully directed toward treatment, training, and systems that protect a child’s right to mobility. By maintaining clear reporting and responsible fund management, we ensure that our free-treatment model remains ethical, sustainable, and impact-driven.

To Donors:

Your financial support enables essential treatment components—casts, Foot Abduction Braces (FAB), and training for ASHA frontline workers. Every contribution directly strengthens a child’s chance to walk, play, and live without preventable disability.

Hope in Action:

Seeing ASHA frontline workers gain the knowledge to protect children from a lifetime of disability is a powerful reminder of what collective action can achieve. While the challenge of clubfoot remains significant, our shared resolve is stronger. Through the CureAid Program at Aid Global Foundation, we are not only improving mobility—we are restoring opportunity and strengthening families.

Join us in this mission.Together, we can help ensure that no child is left behind because of a treatable condition.
